Comprehensive Dentistry
— Westchester Dental Group believes that the teeth are just one small part of oral health.  Our exams include not only a thorough exam of your teeth, but also your gums, soft tissue (oral cancer screening) and tempero-mandibular joint (TMJ).  We also offer our patients a smile analysis, nutritional profile and thorough head and neck exam.

Invisalign — A unique method of straightening teeth without wires, brackets or braces.

Tooth-Colored Fillings — Tooth-colored fillings (composite resin fillings). Fillings are restorations that are done to repair damage caused by tooth decay (dental caries). Composite resin is typically used to fill cavities in front teeth and any other teeth that are visible when the patient smiles, because its color can be matched to the tooth surface.

Porcelain Veneers — Veneers or laminates are thin porcelain facings that cover the teeth, usually in the front.  They can be created in many different shades and sizes.

Tooth Whitening — Westchester Dental Group uses the “ZOOM” system of whitening teeth in the office or supplies patients with convenient home-use trays.  Whitening (or bleaching) involves applying a gel to the teeth.  The in-office system takes a little over an hour.  The home system takes 1-2 weeks.

Bonding—Also known as direct composite, this tooth-colored resin can be applied to teeth (usually in one appointment) to improve their color and shape.

Porcelain Crowns — Porcelain crowns match your tooth like a piece from a jigsaw puzzle.  They are very strong and blend with your teeth’s natural color.

Bridge — This dental restoration spans an area that has no teeth and is connected to natural teeth at each end.

Endodontic Therapy — This dental procedure (also known as Root Canal) is used to find and treat diseases of the tooth pulp.  Tooth pulp is the tissue inside the roots of the teeth that contains all the nerves and blood vessels that nourish the tooth.

Dentures— Synthetic replacements for teeth, which can be either complete or partial, depending on the patient's needs.

Periodontal Therapy—Care of the gums.  We also work closely with periodontists and personally coordinate and direct all specialists’ treatment

“The casual atmosphere the staff creates helps to relieve some of the anxiety so often associated with a visit to the dentist.”
